After setting our collections in the inventory module and populating it with appropriate items, we have successfully set the information of what is used in our lab.

The last part which remains is list the stocks of each item currently available in our lab with accurate information such as storage location, expiry date, volume, weight and concentration.

When adding a new stock, we are prompted with a window to set its characteristics, among them are the quantitative fields (volume, weight, concentration):

It is possible to manage the units of the selected quantifier, and also add custom units (available for admins):

After adding all the required stocks (either individually or in bulk) we can manage our total material and total number of stocks in the 'Stocks' tab of the selected item:

It is also possible to set an alert when stock level are too low (read more about it here):

  • The unit that will be presented is always the largest one defined (eg. Kg>g>mg>ug>ng)

  • Stocks with custom units are not included in the total material calculation

The total amount of stocks, regardless of weight or volume, is available in the bottom right corner of the table:
