EasyEdit2 overview

EasyEdit2 in Labguru simplifies file management with tools like Local Edit and UpFolder, making it easy to open, edit, and upload files directly from Labguru

Local Edit changes the way files are edited and documented in Labguru. With this tool, all types of files can be opened directly from Labguru, given that the relevant software for opening them is installed on your computer.

Another powerful tool available is the UpFolder, it is great for automatically uploading documents from your lab instruments and computers to your Labguru account. You can create a folder on your computer and on an instrument's computer, and any files created or moved into this folder will be automatically uploaded to your Labguru account.

Mac Installation guide

1. Start by installing EasyEdit2 using the following link.
(A link to download the installation file is also available when clicking on “Local Edit” next to an attachment element in Labguru's pages).

2. Click the file and select “Open”.

3. In the window opened, click on “Open” to start the installation.

4. When opening the app the first time, insert your institute or company private domain by switching to correct URL using the 'Host change' option. (its should match the URL of your lab's home page)

Default domain is https://my.labguru.com

5. EasyEdit 2 will then be up and running - an icon can be found at upper navigation bar, and menu for all available actions will be presented when clicking on it

Windows Installation guide

1.Start by installing EasyEdit 2 Using the following link

(A link to download the installation file is also available when clicking on “Local Edit” next to an attachment element in Labguru's pages).

2.Click the file and follow the setup instructions, once installation has been complete press finish.

3.Click on EasyEdit icon to open the application and run it

4. When opening the app the first time, Insert your institute or company private domain by switching to correct URL using the 'Host change' option.(its should match the URL of your Lab's home page)

Default domain is https://my.labguru.com

5.EasyEdit will then be Up and running - an Icon can be found at taskbar, and menu for all available actions will be presented when clicking on the application icon

The following menu options will appear when clicking on the EasyEdit icon

Open Host- opens a Labguru web application in selected default browser

(will open according to the domain set at step 4)

Open Folder- opens your Local Up-Folders.

UpFolder folder is the folder on your computer and on an instrument's computer, and any Files created or moved into this folder will be automatically uploaded to your account as Unattached files.

Additionally each instrument added will have its own folder to be synchronized with

Add Instrument- allows you to select instruments to have their own folder

Files created or moved to those folders will be uploaded to according equipment in your account and will be found under "Output Files" tab in equipment page

Change Host - change private domain

Default domain is https://my.labguru.com

Connect - run the app, establish new connection

Quit - close the app , this selection will require you to actively open the app again in case of need
