Question

Answer

While sharing information between departments/functional groups, do you ever share the results of some experiments but then realize the interpretation could be incorrect? How do you go back and communicate that the results of the experiment were incorrect?

This can clearly be indicated when using the electronic signatures in experiments. If an experiment is reverted due to corrections, this is indicated in the comment section. Also if not signing the experiment, the team can be notified directly in the comments section.

Can I enter a plasmid or viral stock in development and follow the experimental results using the plasmid of viral stock?

Yes, by logging this plasmid as an inventory item, and linking this item in the various experiments. All the experiments will show up in the Experiments tab of the plasmid page.

Another option is using forms and datasets, see answer below.

We use common SOPs frequently. Should we set them up as a Protocol or an Experiment template? How do we link Experiment results to specific specimens? We reuse specimens frequently

Yes, you can set them up as protocol templates.

In the protocol you select the samples in the Sample element to link them to the procedure.

You can also add a form element and select a specimen or upload a csv result file and mention a specimen in it. To learn more about this functions check out our Forms and Datasets webinar.

Is there a molecular biology tool w/in Labguru (e.g. SnapGene) so we can add sequences and annotate them on Labguru?

Labguru has a built in DNA viewer tool, allowing annotating sequences and basic analysis functions.

Is there real-time support for challenges faced while using the Labguru's tools?

Yes, we provide human support with an in-app communication tool and via email.

Is that business hours at a particular time zone only, or 24/7?

We have teams in Europe and the US, so both time zones are covered. Our standard reply time is up to one working day, usually a lot less.

For the next webinar can you show tracking of sample from production experiment to downstream assay experiments and then back to the original experiment of production experiment?

Thank you for the suggestion, we will consider it for the next webinar.
