Overview
This article provides a step-by-step guide on connecting your Labguru account to Avantor's Inventory Management (IM) system, including the authentication process and how storage locations are synchronized between the two platforms. This feature enables seamless inventory management and synchronization of stockroom data across your systems.
Enabling the Avantor IM Integration
Step 1: Navigate to your Labguru account settings > Go to the General tab > Locate the toggle for "Avantor integration"
Step 2: Authenticate Connection
Click on the toggle to enable the connection.
You will be prompted to authenticate by entering the following details:
IM User Email
Password
Server domain - URL
API Key
Important Notes
Only account owners have the permission to enable or disable the Avantor IM connection.
Upon successful authentication, the toggle will remain on, and you will see the following message: "Successfully authenticated to Avantor IM with a status of synced."
Syncing Storage Locations
The synchronization process is designed to handle multiple PoUs, consolidating stock levels from various locations into a unified view within Labguru.
Once authenticated, you can synchronize storage locations between Labguru and Avantor IM.
Here's how:
Step 1: Select Stockrooms for Sync
After successful authentication, you will be prompted to select the organization and then the stockrooms you want to sync with Labguru.
These stockrooms will be mapped to corresponding storage locations in Labguru.
Selecting stockrooms and adding or removing them can be adjusted
Step 2: Managing Synced Storage Locations
Synced storage locations will be displayed in the Labguru storage module.
These locations are marked with a special icon indicating that they are synced with Avantor IM.
Important Considerations:
Stockrooms that were not defined as Point of Use (PoU) within Avantor IM will not be available for sync.
Storage locations created from the sync cannot be edited or set as parent locations in Labguru.
If you attempt to modify these synced locations, you will receive an error message.
3. Disconnecting from Avantor IM
Step 1: Terminate the Connection
To disconnect your Labguru account from Avantor IM, return to the account settings and disable the "Avantor integration toggle IM" toggle.
Step 2: Confirm the Disconnection
If you proceed with the disconnection, the integration between Labguru and Avantor IM will be severed, disrupting any workflows dependent on this connection.
