List of common audit trail actions and what they mean

  • Create - Occurs when a new entity is added to the database

  • Update - Occurs when changes are made to an existing entity

  • Update (auto-save) - Occurs when changes are made in a Labguru page that were prompt by an auto-save, and not by user action.

  • Destroy - Marks an entity as deleted in the database. Entities in Labguru cannot be permanently removed; instead, deleting an entity flags it as deleted, but it remains stored

  • Archive - Marks an entity as inactive or hidden from general views without deleting it. Archived entities are accessible but separated from active items. This includes archiving protocols or projects and also consuming stocks

  • Activate - Occurs when archived entities (Equipment, Protocol, Project etc.) are restored by the user

  • Signature actions (Sign, Revert, Reject, Witness) - Occur when users digitally sign or revert, reject or witness an ELN page.

  • Authenticate actions (Login/Logout) - Occurs when a user accesses/exits Labguru system

  • Add to page - Occurs when a user add to page an attachment that was uploaded into an ELN within Labguru

  • Download - Occurs when a user exports or downloads an entity or associated file from Labguru

  • Print - Occurs when a user print a Labguru page to PDF

  • Show - Occurs when a user load a Labguru page

  • Version - Occurs when user view a previous version of a page

  • Labels actions - Occuers when user print's a label for stock, plate, box, storage location or equipment

  • Shopping list actions (add_to_cart, approve, approve_and_submit, supplied, shopping_list,update_shopping_list_item) - Occur when user is adding items to the shopping list, view the shopping list or perform any action on a shopping list line item

  • Permissions actions (view_permissions, edit_permissions...) - Occurs when user updates the permissions of a page (project, experiment, protocol, SOP etc.)
