An SOP is a procedure, specific to your operation, describing the activities necessary to complete tasks in accordance with industry regulations, provincial laws, or even just your own standards for running your business.

If you are part of a biotech company or an R&D group, you will find our SOPs module very useful.

Design your SOPs

When designing SOPs you are able to add protocols and determine the schedule

1. Create your SOP page

Go to the knowledge module, click on the SOP > click on the "New SOP" to create one:

2. Structure your SOP
An SOP in Labguru is composed of protocols that you can choose from your protocol list.

In order to create the schedule, you can use the Gantt tab, there each protocol will have a block that represents duration. The chart is dynamic and allows making changes by moving the blocks, in addition it is possible to create associations between blocks to create a mandatory order of completion.

Avoid SOP edits by other members by signing and witnessing the SOP.

When you click 'Start experiments/Activities' a folder will be created in the selected project with the name of the SOP, in the folder, for every protocol an experiment page will be created.
