1.Passwords are personal and should not be shared across lab members. 

2. Password complexity is enforced (Password should be least 8 characters long and contain at least three out of four categories: lower case, upper case, numbers or special characters) 

3. Password will be checked upon login 

4. Password will be replaced every 3 months; according to 21CFR#11 regulation 

5. Users will not be allowed to repeat a password 

6. Passwords will be not be saved in cleartext in the database

7. Passwords will not be stored in the application log 

8. Failed Login attempts will be recorded 

9. Users failing to login more than 3 times will be locked out for 1 hour
