Using Ketcher, Labguru's integrated Chemical editing tool, drawing or importing of compounds chemical structures and reaction schemes is available for every experiment or protocol page.

Add compounds & Reactions to a section

  1. Click anywhere on the section to open the edit toolbar

  2. Click on 'More' and select 'Add Compound/Reaction' to open the sketch window.

Drawing or Importing Structures

  1. In the sketch window, either draw a structure or import one using the folder icon at the top left.

  2. Once your structure is complete, click 'Save' to add it to the section. The new drawing will appear as an element in the section, which you can click to re-edit as needed.

Describing Reactions and Stoichiometric Table

  1. Describe a reaction in a similar way. After creating a reaction, a stoichiometric table will appear below it, organized into reactants and products. This table provides information such as the formula and molecular weight (MW) of each compound.

  2. Additional details like Name, Volume, Molar Ratio, and more can be entered manually. The tool also enables yield calculation based on the reactants and product quantities (volume or weight) and the mole ratio of the reaction.

All compounds/reactions added in the ELN, are automatically added to your compounds collection in the Inventory.
