Labguru gives you the option to view and also edit Microsoft Office files you have attached to your experiments

Viewing and editing your files:

1. You can present the content of attached files using the option Add to page. To do so, hover on the attachment's box and choose 'Add to page'.

1.1 - Excel files: This action will create a spreadsheet element in the section and import all the content of the Excel into that element.

This allows you to see the data straight on the experiment page and offer basic editing options. Changes made in the spreadsheet will automatically update the attachment itself.

The spreadsheet element can also be exported to a .csv (excel compatible) file which will be attached below.

1.2  PowerPoint files: Labguru simply create a PDF version of that PPT file, and present it using the in-app PDF viewer.

1.3 -Images attached to a section can be visible using this option if they were uploaded as attachments.

1.4- PDF files, can be viewed using option add to page within an experiment section or be viewed in a separate window with Labguru's in-app PDF viewer.

2.Edit your attached files:

2.1- Microsoft Office files using the remote editing option

The file opens on your computer as an excel document, for this example. When finishing editing click save and the changes will automatically be saved in Labguru, and visible in the spreadsheet element that was added to page as well.

This procedure is also valid for Microsoft Word and Power point files.

    2.2 - Images editing:
image properties ca be edited by clicking on the image and choosing an option from the menu that will pop up beneath it. To add color marking, text or to crop the image, enter the annotation tool by clicking on the pencil icon in the menu.

Any other format of files can be attached to a section, and be stored in the account in the context of that experiment, but cannot be viewed or edited within Labguru. Those files can still be edited or viewed by 'Download' them from your Labguru account and then open with the appropriate software on your computer. If the file was updated, you should upload again.
